Board Members

Trina Buettner, R.Ph., of Defiance, Ohio, is the Board President for State Fiscal Year 2024 and is a professional pharmacist member of the Board. She was re-appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2023, with her second term ending June 30, 2027. Ms. Buettner is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and currently serves as the Director of Pharmacy at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital. Her professional association memberships include the Ohio Pharmacists Association, American Pharmacists Association, and Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (formerly IACP).

Mindy Ferris, R.Ph., of Columbus, Ohio, is the Board Vice President for State Fiscal Year 2024 and is a professional pharmacist member of the Board. She was appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2022, with her term ending June 30, 2026. Ms. Ferris has over 20 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist and currently serves as Executive Vice President of Operations & Customer Success at Pharmscript, Inc. She is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and is licensed to practice in Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Anthony J. Buchta, Sr., R.Ph., of Dublin, Ohio, is a professional pharmacist member of the Board appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2023, with his first term ending June 30, 2027. He has over 30 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist and is the owner of the Arena District Pharmacy in Columbus. Mr. Buchta is a member of the Ohio State Pharmacist Association, the International Association of Compounding Pharmacists, and past President of the Academy of Pharmacy of Central Ohio. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Jason M. George, PharmD, of Kettering, Ohio, is a professional pharmacist member of the Board appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2021, with his first term ending June 30, 2025. He has over 16 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist and currently serves as a supervising pharmacist for Humana Pharmacy. Mr. George also serves as a reserve pharmacist for the U.S. Army and has managed pharmacy teams in hospitals and clinics in Wisconsin, Japan, Puerto Rico, and Iraq. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

N. Victor Goodman of New Albany, Ohio, is the public member of the Board and was appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2020, with his first term ending June 30, 2024. Mr. Goodman has been practicing law for almost 60 years and is a partner in Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group. He focuses his practice on administrative and governmental law, including appeals and civil rights. He also handles labor and employment matters. Mr. Goodman is a graduate of Yale University, where he received his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laud, and the Harvard Law School, where he completed his Juris Doctor. He was also awarded an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree by Ohio University in 2004.

Tod J. Grimm, R.Ph., MBA, of North Royalton, Ohio, is a professional pharmacist member of the Board appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2021, with his first term ending June 30, 2024. He has over 25 years of retail and ambulatory pharmacy management experience and currently serves as a pharmacy director for University Hospitals. Mr. Grimm also serves as the Past President (2020) of the Ohio Pharmacists Association. He earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University and his Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.

Jeff Huston, BPharm, PharmD, R.Ph., of Cedarville, Ohio, is a professional pharmacist member of the Board appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2021, with his first term ending June 30, 2024. He has practiced in community pharmacy for 11 years and has served in academia for 21 years, teaching at The Ohio State University for 10 years and currently teaching at Cedarville University School of Pharmacy for 11 years. Dr. Huston has led 24 medical missions trips with World Gospel Mission, taking interprofessional teams of nursing and pharmacy students to Honduras serving those with limited access to healthcare. He is a graduate of Ohio Northern University (BPharm) and Shenandoah University (PharmD).

D. Rich Miller III, B.S., R.Ph., of Blacklick, Ohio, a professional pharmacist member of the Board. He was re-appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2019, with his second term ending June 30, 2026. Mr. Miller has over 10 years of experience working with Walgreens where he currently serves as the Healthcare Specialty Supervisor for Central Ohio. He is a graduate of Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and is a member of the Ohio Pharmacists Association.

Christine Pfaff, R.Ph.., of Lewis Center, Ohio, is a professional pharmacist member of the Board appointed by Governor Mike DeWine in 2022, with her first term ending June 30, 2025. Ms. Pfaff has over 20 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist and currently serves as the Associate Director of Practice Operations for the Zangmeister Cancer Center. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and serves on the Board of the Community Oncology Pharmacist Association.
